EYE CANDY : ADORE HOME MAGAZINE'S APRIL/MAY ISSUE

Adore Home Magazine's April/May issue is my favourite so far! Jam packed with rooms to envy and style to steal; I could barely cull my favourite pages down to a suitable posting level, and even then there is plenty to see below. Hope everyone had a great weekend...

HANDMADE BUY OF THE DAY : CLUTCHING AT FLOWERS

When I discovered the Etsy store RedRubyRose it took a while to decide just which beautiful purse to feature as a handmade buy of the day! There is such a huge range and each clutch is beautifully made with such inspiring original prints and designs. Handmade by UK based Rowena, the store is well worth a browse!

BLOOMIN' TUESDAY : KAFFIR LILLIES

Me and my posts have been M.I.A for the last week because I was lucky enough to have been soaking in the good weather up at Noosa on the Sunshine Coast for my best friend's wedding (some pics to follow). Thought I'd share some Spring blooms with you today in celebration; these bursts of brightness have just suddenly bloomed in my front yard.

EYE CANDY : WHEN CAITLIN MET ASHLEE

I can't remember how I found Photographer Ashlee Raubach's blog - but I'm glad I did. I like that she posts a lot of her work at once and its all so different and shot with such creative eye, with great concepts. But what really endeared me to her style, is a post from last month where she spent some time photographing interiors for designer Caitlin Wilson and I love the results. The close up details of fabric and textures mixed with wide shots is pretty cool and I think the two talents make a good team! see more of the pics here (PS would like to steal those two white chairs at the foot of the bed)

LOOK OF THE DAY : CHRISTIAN DIOR COUTURE

This really is almost a Photo of The Day as well... very theatrical and boldly designed. Inspired by the beauty of nature Galliano really took the Fall 2010 Couture collection somewhere amazing. Filled with gorgeous, rich, floral jewel-tones and amazing silhouettes (like this Tulip coat) its easy to see why the House of Dior is still on top.

RUNWAY TOP 6 : STELLA MCCARTNEY RESORT 11

Lacy frocks, boxy coats, colour blocking and some fresh and bold floral prints all went into the mixing bowl for the cake that was Stella McCartney's 2011 Resort Collection. Style.com reports that: Resort is an optimistic, hopeful season for McCartney. "I love early spring; everything's alive again and growing." she said. "I think the clothes reflect that."
I thought the collection was mature and elegant with killer accessories (heart the simple shoes and every single bag!) So what can we can gather from this showing? well, that Im looking forward to the season being fresh and subtle with an elegant pallette, floral prints and sophisticated tailoring, oh yeah! and its all about legs legs legs!...(at least we in Oz have a little time to whip our own stilts into shape)
