WHAT A CORKER

I like to think these quirky 'toast it' coasters were the manifestation of a sudden moment of breakfast table inspiration from Brazillian designer Patricia Naves. Unquestionable Funky in use or stored as a loaf of 'cork bread' on your counter top they're sure to be a conversation starter in any kitchen. Get your slice of daily bread from Patricia's design house OITI

EYE CANDY : UNION JACK MAKEOVER

Im so envious that this dresser doesn't belong to me! I'm loving the imperfect paint strokes and graphic look, as well as those crystal handles. Antique meets graphics; A great Before & After furniture makeover from Design*Sponge. It's going on my DIY to do list!

I WANT IT NOW : UN-KILLABLE CATUS

This porcelain pretty comes from the shelves of Burleigh Heads based homeware importers Vennucci, who are now celebrating their 10th year trading. COVER TO COVER : VOGUE AUSTRALIA MARCH

I fell in love with this months cover of Vogue Australia today while grocery shopping, snapped it up ASAP, and just spent a classic lazy summer afternoon leafing through its pages in front of the fan with iced water on hand! Great use of colour, pattern and the soft yet bold alternating text hues. Shot by Nicole Bentley, it features model Alina Baikova wearing some of this season's most recognisable stripes from Prada. Hope you all got to indulge in a lazy Sunday too!

EAT DRINK AND BE MERRY

Ever been inspired by cutlery? The idea for this photography/typography poster hopped into my brain one day as I was hunting around in my kitchen draws. Almost has a Christmas-festive feel yes? I was thinking maybe framing it as a Kitchen/Dining room print

PHOTO SHOOT STYLING

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of helping a friend style a photo shoot for her final Honours assessment at QUT.
Shot in natural light with the talent of Nicola Poole behind the lens and the bubbly Gaelen in front, the morning went by quickly without a hitch (but with plenty of tasty breakfast snacks!)
It was nice to work with all the girls including make-up artist Shelley Veitch and I think the shots turned out just as planned...
Here are a couple of images I snapped mid-shoot for you all to get a taste of Miss Emma Price's amazing eye for detail in her pieces .

Aren't they beautiful? For more of Emma's work check out her range Booje stocked in The Tribune on Arthur Street, The Valley. (I will post up some of the final photographs soon)
