STELLA MCCARTNEY FALL 2010 CAMPAIGN

Jealous of this whole look...the text, the garments, the lighting, the model, the colours...adore! Is it possible to drool over marketing? A little bazaar but still - I would hang these on my wall (Natalia Vodianova via Fashion Gone Rogue)

RUNWAY TOP 6 : STELLA MCCARTNEY RESORT 11

Lacy frocks, boxy coats, colour blocking and some fresh and bold floral prints all went into the mixing bowl for the cake that was Stella McCartney's 2011 Resort Collection. Style.com reports that: Resort is an optimistic, hopeful season for McCartney. "I love early spring; everything's alive again and growing." she said. "I think the clothes reflect that."
I thought the collection was mature and elegant with killer accessories (heart the simple shoes and every single bag!) So what can we can gather from this showing? well, that Im looking forward to the season being fresh and subtle with an elegant pallette, floral prints and sophisticated tailoring, oh yeah! and its all about legs legs legs!...(at least we in Oz have a little time to whip our own stilts into shape)

LUST HAVE TREND : LADYLIKE BEHAVIOUR

I'M A LADY!
Ladylike behaviour is all about being feminine but still twisting the trend to suit you. This one is full of contradictions and is more sporty and accessible then past femme trends but is all about being 'put-together' and looking confident. Think soft pastels with a hint of more subdued summery hues. Feminine ruffles, frills and bows against the elegant clean lines of tuxedo jackets and denim. Slim leg pants and trouser-style denims, structured pencil-skirt-suits with print blouses underneath and Dior silhouettes with ankle boots. Ladylike Behaviour is a return to something a little more subdued and tasteful, perhaps a reflection on recent world affairs. But whatever has triggered the comeback of curves and girly dresses Im welcoming it!

STYLE STEALING : RYAN GOSLING & MICHELLE WILLIAMS

How gorgeous is this too stylish couple! Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams were out promoting their film 'Blue Valentine' at Cannes last week. Adoring Michelle's new platinum pixie look and those Stella McCartney wedges (yay bring back the wedge full throttle, they are so much easier to stay upright in than those 5metre high stilettos that have been making the rounds).I think Ryan is one of few men who could pull off that outfit, those shoes and not even blink. Love these photos, so very effortless chic...

LOOK OF THE DAY : STELLA McCARTNEY

This look is from Stella McCartney's Spring 2010 RTW collection (via style.com) I love the detail on the shoulders and the colours in the print. Very fresh and sexy but looks like it would be super comfy; always a bonus.

TODAY'S JUNIOR

Kid's fashions have hopped onto my radar a couple of times recently and I've noticed a dramatic "sophisticationing" (yes its definitely a word) of the industry. It seems to be a really great time to be a kid! No simple shorts and shirt combos nowadays, its all double breasted suits and military leather jackets with runway inspired trends.
Stella McCartney and Philip Lim are just a couple of designers dipping their toes in the little tike market, but they are doing it so amazingly well! Let's just hope little 'Billy' stops growing long enough to get good use out of such a spend... but then who cares when it is all just so darn cute.
(PS how sweet is the mini model Phillip Lim uses! any idea who she is?)
