EYE CANDY : FRIDAY PIECES
I've had these pics in my 'eye candy' folder for a little bit now, so thought today was as good a day as any to share them! The first comes via a post on LiveCreatingYourself...I think this Ikea desk is super cool and would love to have something similar in my workspace. The next is another look to steal from DomestiKatedLife blog...love the look of symmetry, the throw,those stripes and end of bed ottomans...ok I like the whole room :) - and the third is a random desk I spotted as inspiration for my owns makeover - though more of a general inspiration (paint and re-cover chair) than specific (mimic bright yellow).

Running from February 3rd until the 22nd of January 2012, we are now officially in the year of the Metal Rabbit with Chinese New Year celebrations coninuing for the next week or so. (A particularly good year for me I hope seeings as I am a rabbit in the Chinese Zodiac) Apparently a year of (much needed) calm and peace awaits us and a good chance for us rabbits to "make an extra effort to follow your dreams, seize opportunities, and enjoy the moment". I fell in love with this months cover of Vogue Australia today while grocery shopping, snapped it up ASAP, and just spent a classic lazy summer afternoon leafing through its pages in front of the fan with iced water on hand! Great use of colour, pattern and the soft yet bold alternating text hues. Shot by Nicole Bentley, it features model Alina Baikova wearing some of this season's most recognisable stripes from Prada.
