I saw this painting in a post on The Design Files and immediately fell in love!!
It reminds me of staying up late on school nights to tape my favourite TV Shows (pause/record to chop the ads out)...sigh the good ol' days of VHS; Be kind and rewind.
The artist behind the piece is Brisbanite Dane Lovett, definitely one to keep an eye on!
As seen on The Design Files
How clever is this novelty cup from Third Drawer Down? I'm unashamedly fond of quirky finds like this and Thrid Draw Down certainly has no shortage on quirk! Selling from Fitzroy, they are Australia's only trading museum and well worth an online-shop browsing session; especially with Christmas now only weeks away! ( if you happen to take my advice, be sure to take a look at their limited edition textiles, lots to lust after!)
If I was ever (completely plausible) going to a red carpet event with (even more plausible) limitless money - Elie Saab would be my first stop. I always love his collections for their big bling and elegant femininity...they are the ideal glamour gowns.
Taken for the Filippa K 2010 lookbook, I love the simplicity of this shot, especially the fairly neutral colours with the bright yellow sweater. Dorothea Barth Jorgensen is the the one sitting pretty

Here's a little peek at the wonderful weekend I just had celebrating my best friend becoming a Mrs.
Married on a sunny Saturday morning overlooking Noosa's crystal clear water on the Sunshine Coast, the happy couple both looked stunning and put so much effort into creating a personal eco-chic day that was one to remember!
Our lovely Bride thoughtfully choose a perfume for us all to wear, creating a scent to remember...and our Bridesmaid dresses hanging and ready for action on the big morning!
The wedding favours were these sweet beeswax candles and bamboo coasters. The little quote you can see tucked in between was printed on recycled seeded paper that is able to be planted and grown into a Lemon Scented Bottlebrush (an Aussie native)
Me and my posts have been M.I.A for the last week because I was lucky enough to have been soaking in the good weather up at Noosa on the Sunshine Coast for my best friend's wedding (some pics to follow). Thought I'd share some Spring blooms with you today in celebration; these bursts of brightness have just suddenly bloomed in my front yard.

Well once again Brisbane-nites will be shielding their GHD'd locks from the elements today and I found the perfect handmade gift for such weather! This gorgeous paper mobile is from Etsy store Gosh and Golly (a recent Etsy addition whose name I love) Forget mobiles being just for the nursery Id like to admire this in my kitchen or living room! It also comes in a wall art version and both can be custom made with colours of your choice for US$48. Very perty (also check out the hot air balloon mobile here)

I can't remember how I found Photographer Ashlee Raubach's blog - but I'm glad I did. I like that she posts a lot of her work at once and its all so different and shot with such creative eye, with great concepts. But what really endeared me to her style, is a post from last month where she spent some time photographing interiors for designer Caitlin Wilson and I love the results. The close up details of fabric and textures mixed with wide shots is pretty cool and I think the two talents make a good team! see more of the pics here (PS would like to steal those two white chairs at the foot of the bed)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday, particularly those of us in Brisbane who have seen blue sky for the first time in a while!
I was browsing over on Layers of Meaning this morning when I came across a link to new Home and Lifestyle Magazine; Adore Home Magazine. And adore I did! Full of inspiring images and peeks into gorgeous homes with interviews from the people who live in them, I lost myself for a while in all the pretty...and the best part of all, not only is it free to view cover to cover online but its Australian!
Founded and created by designer Loni Parker this first 'Spring' Issue is well worth a look, heres some eye candy to get you hooked

This eclectic loft home belongs to freelance writer and stylist Jen Jafarzadeh L'italien and her husband Dan in Brooklyn. I especially love the blackboard bathroom/'loo' door and all the quirky artwork. Check out the rest of their place on Design Sponge
How clever are these Mittens from Kate Spade? I wish it got cold enough to wear them here in Brisbane! in fact while I'm making wishes; I wish we had a Wintery Christmas because these would be wonderful to wear and as gifts! sigh... I think I'll have to settle for a rainy Christmas this year. ( seen via Katie Armour)
