What a good idea, clothing as art. Now I have to find a garment worthy of framing that I don't want to wear anymore...or maybe can't fit; finally an excuse to buy size 0 couture! hah
Jealous of this whole look...the text, the garments, the lighting, the model, the colours...adore! Is it possible to drool over marketing? A little bazaar but still - I would hang these on my wall (Natalia Vodianova via Fashion Gone Rogue)
A new favourite of mine, British born Tim Walker creates some amazing stories within fashion photography. I just keep finding more and more of his work that I love and I think it's because a fair portion is light and quirky and the rest is romantic and whimsical or plain beautiful. Im always a fan of anyone who adds a little beauty to the world!
A small but random taste for your eyes...

Photographed by Beau Grealy and styled by Kate Sebbah; Marike Le Roux in Flair Magainze via Fashion Gone Rogue. This trend of hair 'colour' seems to be getting more and more mainstream, especially the pinks, blues and greens.

One of theses was intended for a photo of the day but I just couldn't decide which I liked more! So here is a Natalia triple treat courtesy of a lovely Vogue China editorial last year. Photography by Paolo Roversi.
Toted as 197o's in St. Tropez with Bianca Jagger, New Zealand born Rebecca Taylor's 2011 Resort show was a realaxed and wearable collection full of vintage silhouettes and styles, with flashes of flirty feminine quirks and nautical features. Love the cut of those leggy sailor pants...
Who wouldn't love a hat made from comic books! I certainly do and I love the super sweet bow as well (I wonder if that knot was hard to tie without rips), and while I am making requests, if those shoes at the bottom found a way into my wardrobe I wouldn't be mad... Both images from the same Vogue editorial in 2006 which I've used in a previous post. Photography by Tim Walker, pics via MyModernMet
It seems Sasha P is developing a recurring guest spot in my photo of the days.
I think its also safe to say my blog posts in general will be on the decline at least for a little bit, while I settle into my new job and routine. But keep stopping by and I will endeavour to update on the regular!
I wasn't that into Bill Blass' 2011 Resort collection but I do like this one look ; fresh, clean, light and sparkly. A million miles from my sleepy state of mind tonight!

Some random Friday inspirations for you. Super jealous of that creative 'spice-rack', I do believe Ikea have similar magnetic containers, which could look just as cool on the fridge or in the office holding paper clips and pins. And how comfy does the couch below look?! I wish I was spending tonight lying there watching DVDs with the boyfriend (or blu-rays on our new blu-ray player: very fancy)

Tim Walker photography for a 2006 issue of Vogue UK via My Modern Met. I love this for the colour, pose and balloons all on the rainy-day background, it has a great atmosphere!
On Tuesday afternoon I was in Southbank and had the chance to stop by Beginning Boutique's 'Pop-up Store' on Grey Street. That's where I happened across this stack of 3 rings, my latest buy. At only $19 who can pass up a stack of 3 rings! Im loving the metallic look. They come from Treasure Nest, an online shop that has a few items in the pop-up store. So if you get a chance head to 167 Grey St Before Sunday and Pick up a some great buys from Beginning Boutique or Treasure Nest.
