LUST HAVE TREND : NEONS & NEUTRALS

NEONS & NEUTRALS : SHOPPING
With all the dreary things happening in the world sometimes the best thing you can do to brighten the mood is wear some colour! As someone who's wardrobe is predominantly gray, colour seemed a scary thing. But after my first big leap (a bright pink bridesmaid dress) I haven't looked back! It seems to have immediate effects on my cheer-level and automatically propels an old outfit to modern heights. Im not suggesting you wear head-to-toe neon green (only Kermit can make that work) but just a little dash here and there can do wonders.
However if you are after something a little more subdued then the neutral trend is for you, and if done right can be worn all over; think Drew Barrymore and Anna Kendrick at the Oscars this year. When it comes to finding a good neutral colour, it seems that fair people suits shades based on pinks, tanned suit more yellows and dark skins look best in natural olive tones, but you'll never know unless you at least try.
Or even better meld the two trends. Teamed back with neutral basics, brights should be on every girl's Winter shopping list. In fact my favourite colours this season are pairings between cool Grays and citrus yellows and warm creams with reds. Go on experiment a little, you might just find a brave new hue to suit you!
