New trend alert? a shiny shimmery fabric; seen in both Bottega and Chanel this month and the double or triple strap shoe seen everywhere since the Louis Vuitton Fall runway. JUNE ONE : HAPPY WINTER!

Well we are officially in winter here in Oz and for once it actually feels like it! I love the colder months because it means I can live in Jeans and my scarf collection gets a good workout. So Im a big fan of winter accessories, but I'm just not sure it will ever get cold enough here in Brisneyland to justify Chanel's latest couture add on. Seen on the Fall 2010 runway the 'Hot-water-bottle Handbag' is the "hottest" accessory right now! (giggles at own cleverness) How 'cool' are they? (I'll stop now) Happy Winter everyone! x

Even if you are having the worst 'bad hair day' a headband, or more drastically a hat, can fix all your problems and still be the statement in your outfit. It is such a quick (and affordable) way to add style and what's more this trend is actually functional and can transcend seasons! Springtime: headband those beachy waves, Winter: tame the frizzes and keep your noggin warm with a knit beret. But don't stop with just the headband (that's been around on the fashion scene for a couple of seasons now) this trend is all about bigger and better, shinier and more colourful things. So dig out those bejewelled bobby pins,clips, bandanas and headscarves and embrace this excuse for more tame hair!
