PHOTOS OF THE DAY : RIGHT ON CUE

Too beautiful to choose just one! These shots come from Cue's Winter Collection catalogue. Adore the hair and makeup and the subtle hints of a windswept location (not that it makes a very big appearance, but it makes a big impact). If anyone has the details let me know...

PHOTO OF THE DAY : BRAIDS & BURBERRY

Kasia Struss 'Jackets of all Trades' in this year's US January Vogue, shot by David Sims and styled by Tonne Goodman. Note to self : braid hair more often. Happy Friday!

RUNWAY TOP 6 : BANANA REPUBLIC F10RTW

My top 6 picks from Banana Republics Fall 2010 show. The retailer went heavy on the olive and military, and light on the theatrics this season; putting togther a group of super wearable outifits. All of which could be dissected by a novice and paired back with old wardrobe favourites with ease. Great accessories and styling, although I may be biased, as this cold weather lately has me craving anything cosy and warm looking!

Long sweater over a flirty-feminie skirt = on my fashion 'To-Do' list, plus Pom poms!

Who doesn't love a man in mittens! (also digging the undone boot look' very rocker)

Loving layered knits cinched with a skinny-belt & scarves wound around the neck and tucked away

TREND ITEM : THE MILITARY JACKET
At the end of summer I love shopping around for a new jacket in anticipation of a cold Winter (even though Brisbane weather always does it's best to stall me). This year I've got my eye out for a military coat à la Balmain's Fall 2009 runway. Fingers crossed March 1 will bring with it some chilly days...

TREND SHOPPING
If you can't invest in a 5 figure designer jacket just at the moment, don't fret! There are so many great ways to work the 'Military' look this season that won't break the budget. All it takes is some clever shopping and accessorising! So don't be a brand snob and take a look at these finds below (and trust me there is plenty more out there).
